How Our Window Cost Estimator Works
Getting an accurate window replacement quote used to mean waiting days for a contractor to come out and measure. Our free window project calculator gives you real pricing in minutes — no appointment needed.
Here’s exactly how it works:
Step 1: Choose Your Window Type
Start by selecting the window style you need. Whether you’re replacing a standard double hung, a picture window, a sliding window, or a specialty shape, the estimator covers every common window type found in Utah homes. Not sure which type you have? Each option includes a brief description to help you identify it.
Step 2: Select Your Brand
Once you’ve chosen your window type, pick from our available brands. We carry Utah’s most trusted window manufacturers including Milgard, AMSCO, and Innotech. Each brand sits at a different price point, so selecting your preferred brand at this step gives you accurate brand-specific pricing rather than a vague ballpark.
Step 3: Enter Your Dimensions
Enter the width and height of your window opening. If you’re not sure how to measure, measure the width and height of the existing window frame from inside your home. The calculator uses your dimensions to generate pricing specific to your window size rather than a generic average.
Step 4: Choose Colors and Grid Options
Customize your window with interior and exterior color options. Popular choices include white, tan, bronze, and black frames. You can also add grid patterns at this step if you want that classic divided-light look. Color and grid selections affect the final price, so the estimator updates your cost in real time as you make choices.
Step 5: Review Your Project and Get Installation Pricing
Once your window is configured, head to the View Project screen. This is where everything comes together. You’ll see a full cost breakdown including:
- Window material cost based on your exact configuration
- Installation labor costs for professional fitting
- Installation options so you can choose the level of service that fits your project
- Financing options if you’d prefer to spread the cost over time rather than pay upfront
Get an Exact Quote
The window project calculator is designed to give you a realistic starting point, but every home is different. Factors like existing frame condition, window accessibility, and whether you’re doing a full frame or insert replacement can affect final pricing. Once you’ve built your project in the estimator, our team can review your configuration and confirm exact pricing with a fast, no-pressure quote.
